Nancy Wexler Featured on NPR’s All Things Considered

“Reading Genes for Disease, Part 3: Huntington's
Researcher's Work Led to Genetic Test – and Family Dilemma”

Hereditary Disease Foundation President Nancy Wexler was interviewed on National Public Radio by Joe Palca for “All Things Considered” on May 16, 2004.  Nancy contributed the third installment of a four-part series called, “Genetic Testing: Reading Genes for Disease.”  The series focused on people who have faced a decision to find out about their genes.   Part one dealt with issues relating to breast cancer, part two focused on cystic fibrosis, and part four discussed the various dilemmas associated with genetic testing: from personal choices to insurance and employment discrimination.
