Upcoming Workshops 
We will hold a 2-day Scientific Reunion Workshop of the Gene Hunters, the Venezuela Team and the Scientific Advisory Board of the Hereditary Disease Foundation. All of them together are the CURE HUNTERS!
Participants of this Reunion Workshop will include many of the Gene Hunters - 100 scientists who collaborated globally for a decade to discover the HD gene in 1993. The Gene Hunters published their momentous finding as The Huntington's Disease Collaborative Research Group. Many are still actively involved in Huntington's disease research today! A good number are on the Hereditary Disease Foundation's Scientific Advisory Board!
Key members of the Venezuela Team – those who traveled to Venezuela and worked with the Huntington's disease families to collect a huge amount of meticulously collected data which has led to so many successes – will also attend this Reunion Workshop. Many members of the prestigious Scientific Advisory Board of the Hereditary Disease Foundation will also take part.
Finding the HD gene was possible because of the collaborative spirit of the Gene Hunters. This Reunion Workshop will draw from this spirit to focus on the future and FIND TREATMENTS AND CURES!
